Stage 2 Building Works Underway

We are pleased to announce that Stage 2 of our Class 7–9 building block has begun! This exciting stage will add a Science Laboratory, Art Room, toilet block, and store rooms to our Middle School campus. The project is expected to be completed by the middle of next year, ready to welcome students into these new specialist learning spaces.
This building has been a long-held vision of our school community, and it is truly inspiring to see Stage 2 now underway. With the completion of this stage, The Alice Springs Steiner School continues to grow as a genuine choice for higher education in Central Australia.
Why Do Families Choose Steiner for High School?
Many parents are drawn to Steiner education in the high school years because it offers something unique at this important stage of life.
-
Whole-person learning: Steiner schools educate not only the intellect but also nurture creativity, emotional intelligence, and practical life skills.
-
Strong community: Adolescents thrive in a supportive environment where teachers know them well, and families are part of the school journey.
-
Balance of academics and creativity: While students work towards recognised academic outcomes, the arts, music, movement, and hands-on projects remain central to their learning.
-
Developmental focus: The curriculum is designed around the needs of teenagers, helping them grow in independence, resilience, and critical thinking.
-
Meaningful pathways: Steiner graduates leave with adaptability, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose — well prepared for further study, training, or the workforce.
For many families, a Steiner high school is a serious choice for education because it prepares young people not just for exams, but for life.
