ONE CAMPUS, EARLY LEARNING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL.
We are an independent, co-educational school of over 180 students, based in Alice Springs beneath the Tjoritja ranges.
We welcome students from Preschool to Class 8, with our Desert Rose Playgroup for children and parents from 6 months to 4 years old.
The Alice Springs Steiner School offers an enlivened form of education. Our rich curriculum is based on the ideas of the early 20th Century philosopher, Rudolf Steiner. This is to educate children in a way that enables them to become their true selves, to be good citizens and to contribute to society and be a strong force for good in the world.
STEINER EDUCATION – AN EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE
To provide our students with an exceptional all-round education that prepares them to be responsible global citizens who think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and learn enthusiastically throughout life.
Our school maintains a positive and engaging learning environment, that inspires and challenges our students to develop their academic, social, emotional, and physically self.
STEINER SCHOOLS OFFER A DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE AND ACADEMICALY RIGOUROUS APPROACH TO EDUCATION
Our early childhood, primary and middle school programs balance cognitive and emotional development with physical activity. Each subject integrates academic work with fine, performing, and practical arts. This multidimensional approach to education inspires students to embrace school and become lifelong learners.
Our school is inclusive, co-educational, non-sectarian, and non-denominational and welcomes all students, regardless of gender, race, or religion, and we offer a broad educational experience.
