The Alice Springs Steiner School invites applications from dedicated and imaginative educators for the position of Class Teacher, commencing Term 3, 2025. We welcome qualified teachers from a variety of educational backgrounds, including those with an interest in Steiner pedagogy who are open to receiving training and mentoring while teaching.

Situated on the lands of the Arrernte people, at the foot of Tjoritja / West MacDonnell Ranges, and only 10 minutes from the heart of Mparntwe / Alice Springs, our school offers a distinctive educational environment where learning, community, and culture meet in a setting of profound natural beauty.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an educator who:

• Holds current teacher registration (or is eligible for registration) in the Northern Territory.
• Is committed to child-centred, holistic education and is eager to engage with Steiner pedagogy, whether they have prior experience in Steiner school settings.
• Brings warmth, creativity, and adaptability to their teaching practice.
• Possesses (or is willing to obtain) a current Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), Police Check, and First Aid Certificate.

Note: Professional development and mentoring in Steiner education will be provided for teachers new to this approach.
