Library
Our school library is a vibrant and inspiring hub at the heart of The Alice Springs Steiner School. More than just a collection of books, it is a welcoming space where students can immerse themselves in storytelling, explore new worlds, and deepen their love of reading. The library reflects our school’s values of creativity, imagination, and connection to place.
The collection is diverse and continually evolving, with a rich offering of Fiction and Non-Fiction texts for all ages. Alongside classic and contemporary works, the library proudly features a growing collection of Indigenous literature—sharing the voices, histories, and stories of First Nations people. This ensures our students have access to perspectives that reflect the cultural richness of Central Australia and beyond.
Our library is not only for students but also for families. Parents and carers are warmly invited to make use of this resource. We ask families to meet with our Library Coordinator, who will introduce you to the collection, borrowing system, and ways to navigate the shelves. After this, families are welcome to visit freely during school opening hours.
The library continues to grow alongside our students and the times, ensuring it remains a place of discovery, belonging, and inspiration for all.
