Situated on beautiful Arrernte country, just 10 minutes from the township of Mparntwe / Alice Springs, the Alice Springs Steiner School is offering an exciting full-time position for a Class Teacher.
About the Role:
We are seeking a creative, committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher to take on academic and pastoral responsibility for our current Class 1 students (Class 2 2027), guiding them through their primary years.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver, assess and report on curriculum using the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework (ASCF)
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialist staff and leadership to support student wellbeing
• Prepare and present Main Lesson blocks and subject lessons (e.g. painting, music, handcraft)
• Liaise with specialist teachers and track student progress
• Carry seasonal rhythms, support festivals, and uphold the school’s aesthetic and cultural life
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, assessments, student plans, and reports
• Engage with families, including home visits and ongoing communication
• Participate in the school’s mentoring, review, and self-appraisal processes
• Comply with school policies and uphold the values of Steiner education
Required Qualifications:
• Current NT Teacher Registration (TRB) (or capacity to gain)
• Ochre Card, Police Check, and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting)
